A Worthy Pursuit by Karen Witemeyer

Charlotte Antherton was the headmistress of Sullivan's Academy for Exceptional Youths until Mr. Sullivan decided to shut the school down. Now that the school is closed Charlotte will do anything to keep her students safe, especially Lily. Right before Lily's mother passed away she put Lily in Charlotte's care to keep her away from her crooked grandfather. But when Charlotte, Lily and two other students disappear from the academy, Lily's grandfather hires a bounty hunter, Stone Hammond, who never returns empty handed, to bring Lily back. When he finds Charlotte and the children new trouble arises, they could all be in danger including Stone. Charlotte will have to decide to trust this man or worse things could happen to them. This book contains a little bit of everything, it will make you laugh and make you cry and you will be on the edge of you chair waiting to turn the next page. When I read Karen's books I always fell like I am on of the characters in the book I don't want to put it down.

If you would like to read this book you can get it from Amazon as well as Christian Book. If you would like to go to Karen's website just click here.

About Karen
After growing up in California, Karen moved to Texas to attend Abilene Christian University where she earned bachelor and master's degrees in Psychology. It was also there that she met and married her own Texas hero. He roped her in good, for she has lived in Texas ever since. In fact, she fell so in love with this rugged land of sweeping sunsets and enduring pioneer spirit, that she incorporates it into the pages of her novels, setting her stories in the small towns of a state that burgeoned into greatness in the mid- to late 1800s.
A life-long bookworm, Karen is living her dream by writing novels. Her books have consistently hit bestseller lists and have garnered awards such as the ACFW Carol Award, the Holt Medallion, and the Christian Manifesto's Lime Award for Excellence in Fiction. In addition, she is a multiple RITA and National Reader's Choice finalist. Karen is also a sought-after speaker for national writing conferences and regional workshops.

Thank you Bethany House for allowing me to review this book. Thank you Karen for writing another excellent book.
